Qantas safety video doubles as a destination ad

Regular readers of this blog may already be aware that some of the best airline safety instructions videos originate in the Southern Hemisphere, with Air New Zealand holding a well deserved place of honour when it comes to creativity in this field. 

This time, however, is their Trans-Tasman neighbours at Qantas that merit a special mention.

The Australia airline's latest A380-800 safety video has the virtue of acting like a five-minute-long commercial of Australia, that manages to keep your full attention for the duration (quite an achievement in my case!), while showcasing some of Australia's most stunning views and the landscape diversity of this huge insular country.
