Great video: 100 years of Schiphol airport, Amsterdam

While Barcelona celebrates 100 years of aviation with the opening of an amazing exhibition, a bit further north one of my favourite airports is also in a celebratory mood.

The Netherlands were pioneers when it comes to the development of commercial aviation, not for nothing the country's flag carrier, the venerable KLM, is the oldest airline still in existence, and soon a centenary too. But the central role in today's post goes to Schiphol airport in Amsterdam, that is turning 100 as well!

This video is a quick visual tour through the history of this amazing airport, by the way located at the site of a XVI Century naval battle!, that is not only one of Europe's main air gateways, plus a great place for aviation enthusiasts too!
