Last call for Aviation startups! - Apply to Navigator before 2nd September

The link between commercial aviation and the World of startups and innovation really fascinates me (in part because I have been professionally active in both), and one that we have covered in these pages repeatedly.

Aviation is, by definition, a highly technological field, it takes a lot of science to get a piece of metal to cross the globe at 30,000ft!, but technification goes well beyond the purely operational aspects of the business to embrace every single stage of the air travel experience.

Cockpit, the startup incubator of Israeli airline El Al (and backer of companies such as BidFlyer, that develops seat upgrade auctions for airlines) has joined forces with its American equivalent, JetBlue Technology Ventures, to launch "Navigator", an incubator programme for startups.

This initiative, that links two of the World's top technology hotspots, Silicon Valley and Israel, aims to identify and support the most promising, disruptive, ideas bringing innovation to the commercial aviation industry.

Interested?

In that case, hurry up!, because Navigator is only accepting proposals until the 2nd of September only!
