There had been quite some expectation about what Etihad was preparing to announce today.

At the end, it turns out it was a partnership with one of the big names of the fashion world: Armani, or to be more exact, Armani/Casa, the division of the Italian design brand specializing in home decor items.

Starting this December, Armani/Casa will be providing a new dining service for Etihad’s business class. This will include ceramics and glassware for the meals as well as the blankets and other textile items that are made available for premium passengers during the flight.

‘The Constellation Collection’ will be a classy addition to what, quite frankly is already one of the best business classes in the market, as you can see in our business class flight reviews of Etihad’s A350-1000 and B787-10 aircraft.

Here’s a video presenting what the Abu Dhabi carrier defines as the “beyond Business” experience:

The association between aviation and luxury brands to sell, promote or enhance certain products is becoming a feature of the industry. See for example how British Airways partnered with Aston Martin, Embraer with Porsche or private jet operator JetFly with designer Philippe Starck.
