Electric Aviation
Vaeridion has signed an agreement with two Danish operators, Copenhagen AirTaxi and Copenhagen Helicopter to bring its 9-seater all electric aircraft to Denmark by 2030 (personally was surprised to learn there are 1.6 million domestic air travellers in Denmark, which has is a small, flat country with few domestic routes). Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF)
The UK government will introduce a price certainty mechanism to lower the risk of new investments in SAF capacity. There are currently 5 SAF plant projects underway in Britain, but more capacity will be needed to cover demand arising from mandates. READ.

Hydrogen Aviation
Germany’s H2Fly (which happens to be a subsidiary of eVTOL developer Joby Aviation) has successfully flown an aircraft on liquid hydrogen!
This is apparently the first time ever a piloted aircraft flies on cryogenically stored liquid hydrogen). READ.
Several major aerospace companies (Airbus, Rolls-Royce and easyJet among them) joined forces to accelerate hydrogen aviation development in the UK, creating the Hydrogen in Aviation alliance. READ.

Executive aviation is, obviously, a big, fat target for environmental activism, but, things are a somehow a bit more nuanced than they look like at first glance.
Researchers at TU Delft, in The Netherlands, have developed a method for drones to mimic the movement of birds and hover over one spot with almost no energy consumption. READ.
Air Nostrum, a Spanish regional airline that operates many domestic routes on behalf of Iberia, is doubling its Airlander 10 airship order and may deploy some to Malta (that is, when this aircraft becomes a reality), where it has a subsidiary. READ.
