BREAKING NEWS: Update on the sale of Russia's S7 Airlines

In  my latest post I speculated about what the effect of an Aeroflot purchase of S7 Airlines would be for the expected emergence of a Russian low cost airline industry.

Then, when the post was just a few hours old, some more news arrived and it looks like it Aeroflot is not going to buy the Russian government's 25.5% stake on S7 Airlines after all.

The buyer is the S7 Group itself, the group that already controls a majority stake in S7 Airlines and is itself owned by a husband-and wife team:  Natalya Filyova and Vladislav Filyov.

S7 Airlines stays within the family then...
